Highlight Film

Scout’s Notes – Ussery is one of the smartest and most physically tough safeties in the greater Tennessee area. He sports the size, intelligence and work ethic to take his abilities to a high level. Ussery has the size many college coaches look for in a safety, and is well-put together along with a frame to add more weight and size as he continues to mature. The natural physicality that Ussery presents to the field is an automatic linchpin towards making it to the next level.

Another strong trait about Ussey is his leadership. The Wildcats senior-to-]be is a complete teammate that is more than willing to do any and everything it takes to help his team succeed. You won’t see Ussery lay down on any play, nor try to take himself out. He loves the game of football and will give his all every moment he is on the field.

Ussery has the size, range, physicality and leadership skills that many college coaches look for. His toolbox of talents translate well to the next level and with more development through the offseason, Ussery should be a name to place himself on the right path to play college football in the 2020 year.

Recruiting – The recruiting game has been slower than preferred up to this point for Ussery, however, after more time goes by and he is able to hit the camp scene, the Clarksville senior to be will surely garner more attention. Look for the Wildcats safety to spend a good bit of time on the road this summer, hitting up camps and working at generating more buzz towards hopeful offers.

Coaches Take – Clarksville Asst. Coach Rob Gallowitz – “Damari has been a big leader for our program over the past couple of years. He never misses in the weight room, leads by example for the younger kids and is looked at as one of the top playmakers in our program. He’s primarily played safety for us, but he has been able to move to corner or linebacker when called upon. Damari is a great team guy who has a bright future ahead of him.”
