Scout’s Notes: Versatile and athletic. Those are the first two traits you think about when scouting film on Gibson. He has good size along with the ball skills and versatility to play multiple positions within the secondary but has the abilities to turn into a lock down boundry cover corner. Gibson shows the hips, physicality and long speed to play on the outside in college and stick there throughout his career. If the boundry corner doesn’t work out, no worries as Gibson could be placed in the nickel or drop back into safety. He has the athleticism and talents to make that change with ease. The Blackman rising senior is also a strong competitor that embraces going up against the opposition. He won’t back down from anyone and plays with a full motor until the final whistle. Gibson has loads of potential and is finally coming into his own with not only his body but the maturation of his game. The more time Gibson spends on the field, the better he will get.
