Scout’s Notes – Gregory is first and foremost a playmaker that can be used in a variety of ways on the offensive side of the ball. He is a Swiss Army knife-style prospect that brings athleticism, speed, and game-breaking abilities to the football field. Gregory is also stronger than his size may present. He has a chiseled frame and has no problem being physical against bigger competition. Sitting as a current sophomore, Gregory has yet to establish himself at one position for his Eagles squad. His presence on the field should be felt much bigger this coming season as he looks to man the role of his departed brother, Rondarius. The younger Gregory could see his first action at running back, but with his skillset and talents, you could easily see Rontavious line up at receiver as well. The East Nashville rising junior will first look to make a name for himself with CBA Elite 7v7 this spring and summer where he is set to compete with other local competitors against some of the best 7-on-7 programs in the country. Gregory will take on a key role with his CBA team this off-season as a prospect that will be asked to take on multiple assignments and produce at a high level. Rontavious Gregory is a name to watch for over the final two years of his high school football career.
Recruiting – The recruitment for Gregory has yet to take off in full swing, likely due to lack of field action over his first two years with East Nashville. He has seen several snap leading into his junior year but doesn’t have that bulk of work that college coaches need to see. Expect Gregory to attend several college camps this summer where he will begin to show college coaches his worth and abilities to succeed on the next level.
